Then I went to the maruia hot springs near Murchison. I felt nervous going in because it's quite a fancy place, but they were lovely, and I got to have a soak in the mineral hot springs at 38° celcius, then I jumped in the river which was 9° celcius. It's in the middle of this beautiful nature.

now you are talking my language! I was wondering if there was going to be hot springs in this trip, and near a river so you can get the hot/cold thing going...perfect

When you finally get down to New Zealand you'll have to go check out the top of the south island I think you'd love it.
