And I'm really interested in the `ninebot gt2`, but there's not really many good places to ride them around here, so I've started reading about how to build a small single lane go kart track.
I'm thinking:
And 5 friends and you could maybe build 100m of track a day on flat farmland (assuming its 1.5m wide). I think a 400m loop would make a great little race track. Maybe you add one or two passing lanes as well.
if you can get the concrete delivered by truck you are more likely to keep your 5 friends :D 60 cubic meters is a lot of sacs to mix.

Hey team, we're going to add two sets of federation to yo folk:
It'll be a very basic federation to start, but we want to be part of the wider network, and I especially want the data portability (ability to build a friends list and content on yo folk but then migrate away if you find a better place to go). I think data portability will ironically increase our uptake, because you're confident that if you put lots of content into yo folk you will be able to migrate it elsewhere later.
good call, data portability would be rad, and the friends list integration with Voxels is all ready cool, would like the option in Voxels to see yofolk friends list even if your yofolk account is not public

Then after I topped up the car at the fast charger in Murchison, I blasted through the Hurunui back to christchurch airport and flew back to Wellington. I've never been to the Hurunui before. It was very hot, windy and dry. Long straight roads with not much to do. I set the car to self driving, put on some nice music and just spaced out looking at the stark nature. Arrived back at Christchurch airport 5 days after I left, having done 1100km, for a total charging cost of $120.
Fantastic! yea I am still bewildered when talking with someone who I think is great, then I bring up electric cars and they say "electric cars are stupid" the fud is so deep, it really seems like a no brainer to me but I guess lots of people just believe the crappy media out there, I mean I almost kicked these two hot women out of my house when they said that, but just left it at ok let's agree to disagree. Sounds like an amazing trip, you look good, beautiful country

Then I went to the maruia hot springs near Murchison. I felt nervous going in because it's quite a fancy place, but they were lovely, and I got to have a soak in the mineral hot springs at 38° celcius, then I jumped in the river which was 9° celcius. It's in the middle of this beautiful nature.
now you are talking my language! I was wondering if there was going to be hot springs in this trip, and near a river so you can get the hot/cold thing going...perfect
When you finally get down to New Zealand you'll have to go check out the top of the south island I think you'd love it.

I drove below the speed limit most of the time, but when I pulled out to pass (2 lane roads), it would often hit super illegal speeds within 3-4 seconds.
When I was in melbourne two weeks ago, I bought this cool jacket at a second hand clothing store because I was really cold, and it's my new favourite jacket, so I used it for most of the recording I did on the trip to get that vlogger vibe.
think we need a yofolk electric van with starlink for the next level vlogger vibe but you nailed it with the sporty jacket

The airbnb had this amazing coal fire that you used to heat up the hut and warm the water for the shower. I was really cold and wet from the rain and the storm, and so it took me half an hour to get the place warmed up and find my dry clothes, but once I got everything sorted, I had the most amazing evening. I was travelling by myself so got to really rest and enjoy.
pot belly stove the heats water also interesting. I have been covering shifts cutting hair for a friend of mine on vacation at her salon, and have been putting wet towels on the cast iron steam radiator and surprised how fast they dry
I also like to travel alone! I go hiking in the mountains! It turns out there was fuel for this furnace? Is it heated with coal and firewood?
@gallery20 yes it is heated with coal! I initially put in lots of firewood but it burnt too fast, but on the right of this picture is a conical coal hopper that was full of coal, and there was more outside (I had to change into my swimming clothes to wade across to the coal pile), so once I poured that into the fire the place warmed up really well!
@LoRez I love small fireplaces in caravans / tents / campervans. I have a tiny fireplace with a stove jack so I can have a nice warm fire in the annex of my caravan.
Then I stayed at this airbnb south of Hokitika that was possibly my favourite accomodation in the entire world. I'll definitely go again. It flooded this day and I had to drive the polestar through some flooded roads. The polestar went great.
If anyone wants to stay here, it's called the Wildside Lodge and is really very beautiful. It looks a bit dire from the road on a rainy day, but this place around the back was heaven on earth.
